Walker: Dems Attack Me Because ‘We Fight and Win’

Wisconsin Governor and Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker took pride in criticisms from Democrats because those attacks are due to the fact that “they recognize that we not only fight, we fight and win” on Monday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

Walker said of criticism from Hillary Clinton and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka that he was proud to be on the receiving end of such criticism, and “they recognize that we not only fight, we fight and win. We’ve won three times in four years in a purple, if not blue state. But more importantly, we won on the issues. I mean, the reason they’re upset, the reason Hillary Clinton said what she said, was cause we took power out of the hands of the big government union bosses and put it firmly into the hands of the hardworking people.”

Later, Walker said “I hear a lot of frustration and a lot of  interest in somebody from outside of Washington, with all due respect to the Senators. Because they feel like, ‘Hey, we elected a House, we now elected Senate, they haven’t even taken a vote on repealing Obamacare.’ There’s a lot of frustration, and angst out there. They’re not getting serious about a whole array of other issues out there. And I so then think people are hungry for leadership. What I’ve said though is even beyond just Washington, there’s really two groups of candidates on the Republican side, a lot of great people, a lot of people I admire, who are friends of mine. But there are fighters, a lot of those people are from Washington. They’re fighters who have yet to win those fights. And then there are winners, people who have won of elections, but have not consistently taken on the fights. What makes us unique is we’ve done both.” He added that he hasn’t given up on Republicans in Washington, and just believes they need a leader in the White House.
