WH Defends Hillary On Emails: Taken ‘Extraordinary Steps’ to Be Transparent

Monday at the White House press briefing, press secretary Josh Earnest defended former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton over her ongoing private email server scandal, saying she has taken “extraordinary steps” to release the emails publicly, which is “consistent with the kind of priorities  that the president has placed on transparency.”

When Fox News Channel White House correspondent Kevin Corke pressed Earnest, he said, “Secretary Clinton has forwarded thousands of emails from her server to the State Department for exactly that purpose and she has actually gone to the extraordinary steps of actually suggesting that those emails should be made public, and that is consistent with the kind of priorities that the president has placed on transparency.”
