ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd defended President Barack Obama on his show “The Herd” Tuesday, saying that the voters in the United States usually elect capable people as president.

According to Cowherd, Obama is capable as a president because the stock market is improved, the housing market has made a comeback, the prices of gas are “lower than ever” and interest rates are low. He also argued that inflation is under control and most of the issues are overseas, rather than on U.S. soil.

“For as much negativity as Barack Obama faces, the stock market has tripled, the housing market has rebounded, gas prices lower than ever, interest rates, I mean, I just locked into a 3.3. When Jimmy Carter was president, they were at 16. Inflation is under control. Most of the issues are not domestic. Most are overseas.”

Cowherd then commented on Ronald Reagan, calling him the last great conservative president.
