On the morning before he will launch his presidential campaign in Miami, Florida, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) posted a new YouTube video where he attempts to share his record in a positive light, while taking swings at the “DC Crowd,” which presumably includes several of his rivals.
The video, titled “Greatest Century,” was posted on Bush’s Twitter account Monday morning.
“I’m proud of what we accomplished in Florida,” Bush’s voice narration begins the video, claiming successes in economic and job growth, domestic violence protections, pro-life efforts, educational reforms, balanced budgets, and so on.
“We led. We reformed. We got results,” continues Bush. “That’s what’s missing from Washington. The DC crowd talks about what’s wrong with America. I see what’s right. They talk about problems. I see solutions.”
Several of Bush’s top competitors include a number of Senators, including his fellow Floridian, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), as well as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), and former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA). In recent appearances, Bush has been emphasizing his executive experience as governor, and it is not much of a stretch to interpret the “DC crowd” line in the video as a swipe at his rivals from the Senate.
“I see a great country on the verge of its greatest century, and I’m ready to lead,” concludes Bush as the “Jeb!” logo he has used virtually unchanged since 1994 comes on the screen.
The “Greatest Century” slogan is very similar to the “New American Century” theme that was used by Rubio at his campaign kickoff– also in Miami — back in April.
Bush will officially launch his campaign at 3:00 pm ET at Miami Dade College. Breitbart News will continue to follow this story.
