Fiorina: As President I Will Have ‘The Voice’ Style Smart Phone Voting On Issues

Tuesday in New Boston, NH, Republican presidential candidate and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina said as president she would use the same voting model as NBC’s television singing competition “The Voice” to engage the American people in the process of government by holding cell phone voting events in the Oval Office where she asks the American people to vote on questions.

Fiorina said, “You know how I would use technology on a regular basis? I would go into the Oval Office on a regular basis and I would ask the American people—please take out your smart phones I would like to ask you a couple questions. Instead of voting for The Voice tonight, I’d like you to vote on this question, ‘do you think we should be able to fire senior executives in the government if they don’t do their jobs . Press one for yes, two for no.’ That technology exists. People will vote and then that will put pressure on the political system to restore people’s faith that yes, indeed we can engage in the process of our government.”
