Lindsey Graham Hits Hannity, Maddow in Riff About Political Divisions

In an interview posted on NBCNews.com with “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a candidate for the 2016 Republican nomination, touted his candidacy and offered reasons as to why he should be taken seriously a presidential candidate.

Graham hit several topics with Todd in the interview in the back of a car and among those topics were political divisions, to which Graham addressed with his own idea for a “Saturday Night Live” skit about those divides.

“So, you’re at Philadelphia Hall, you’ve got satellite trucks parked outside,” Graham said. “You know, Ben Franklin comes outside and Rachel Maddow and Sean Hannity jump on him, ‘Don’t give in, Ben.’ Just think how hard it is in today’s 24/7 news cycle, talk radio, cable television and money. There is a group telling you to say no about everything. And to get into politics, look at how many pledges you have to sign.”
