Wisconsin Governor and likely GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker joined the Howie Carr radio show on Friday to praise GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and knock a recent Washington Times story.

A columnist for the Boston Herald and talk radio host, Carr took to Twitter posting quotes during his interview with Walker.

His first tweet read, “@ScottWalker tells me WashTimes story is inaccurate. He will not be skipping Iowa. IAPolitics “We play to win.””

The Washington Times reported earlier in the week that Walker is thinking about skipping the Iowa Straw poll. The story also suggests both GOP presidential candidates Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) may also be considering avoiding the event, usually a key stop on the campaign trail. Likely GOP candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, GOP candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and possible candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), have all said they will not be attending the event this year. Breitbart News previously reported about the GOP candidates and their thoughts on the grassroots event in August. Carr’s second tweet during his interview with the presidential hopeful praised another GOP candidate. Carr tweeted, “@ScottWalker says he loves @CarlyFIorina, thinks her criticism of @HillaryClinton is spot on.”

Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO and the only female GOP presidential candidate, has been recognized as being the most vocal of all Republican candidates in attacking Hillary Clinton for untrustworthiness and lack of accomplishments.

“Hillary lacks transparency. It’s another reason why she must not be President of the United States,” Fiorina recently stated when the two both attended campaign events in Columbia, South Carolina.

Walker is expected to announce his bid for the White House sometime this summer.
