NBC’s “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd argued that the president’s policy on ISIS “doesn’t match the rhetoric” on Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
Todd said, “The problem with the president’s policy is, the rhetoric — the policy doesn’t match the rhetoric. The rhetoric is destroy ISIS. What they’re — the policy they’ve implemented is containment, it’s not a destruction policy, it’s a containment policy.”
Todd also agreed with host Joe Scarborough that “the president has always rhetorically overreached.”
After Scarborough listed examples of the president’s rhetorical overreach, The Atlantic National Correspondent Jeffrey Goldberg added, “Also, Iran should not have any nuclear program whatsoever. Don’t forget that one.”
