On Wednesday, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum chose big Clinton Foundation donor George Stephanopoulos to help him announce his second bid for the GOP nomination for president.
Santorum went on ABC with troubled anchor Stephanopoulos on May 27 to tell America that he is “ready to do this again” and is in the hunt for the 2016 GOP nomination.

Claiming that he learned important lessons from his 2012 run for president, Santorum said he intended to repeat his feat in Iowa by taking the Hawkeye State caucuses again and insisted that he’ll spend more time raising money than he did last time.
It’s an exciting opportunity. To come back home, to be at a manufacturing facility, to really reconnect to what I grew up with and understood to be an America that worked, that worked for middle-income families, that created stable neighborhoods and strong families — when you see all these reports coming out, one after another, from the far left and the far right talking about how the middle of America is hollowing out and the jobs just aren’t there for the 74 percent of Americans who don’t have a college degree, families are breaking down.
Stephanopoulos has come under fire for donating tens of thousands to the Clintons and had to recuse himself from the upcoming GOP debates.
Early in May, it became clear that Stephanopoulos tried to hide his large donations to the Clintons, and it wasn’t long ago that he issued a halfhearted apology for not being up front with his audience.
That wasn’t the end of the situation, as a few days later, the ABC anchor was forced to recuse himself from the upcoming 2016 GOP debates. At least 12 well-known journalists publicly condemned Stephanopoulos for his actions.
But others have pointed out that Stephanopoulos’s actions should not surprise anyone due to the decades-long ties that he has to the Clintons. In fact, it was revealed that Stephanopoulos had been a frequent participant in Clinton Foundation events over the years.
The ABC anchor’s troubles have been so bad that even his wife has been shying from the spotlight and canceling TV appearances she had scheduled to flog the release of her new book.
