The long, ugly farce of President Obama’s “nuclear deal” with Iran drags on, as Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei essentially voided the entire agreement on Wednesday, declaring Iran would not give international inspectors access to its nuclear sites or nuclear scientists.

“A fact sheet on the framework accord issued by the U.S. State Department said Iran would be required to grant the U.N. nuclear agency access to any ‘suspicious sites,'” reports Voice of America News. “But Khamenei indicated that the U.S. is increasing its demands that international inspection of Iran’s military sites and interviews with Iranian scientists be included in the final deal.”

This isn’t the first time the Iranians have dismissed Obama’s talking points and domestic political spin as a pack of lies—they’ve been doing that since the day the “historic agreement” was announced! The Supreme Leader was particularly obnoxious about it, however, during a conference with his military commanders on Wednesday, broadcast to the public on state-controlled TV.

“The impudent and brazen enemy expects that we allow them talk to our scientists and researchers about a fundamental local achievement but no such permission will be allowed,” huffed the Ayatollah. “No inspection of any military site or interview with nuclear scientists will be allowed. We will never yield to pressure… We will not accept unreasonable demands.”

Obama’s “Iran deal” therefore boils down to: Iran gets everything it wants, immediately, but inspectors can’t go anywhere there might actually be an illegal nuclear weapon, or talk to the people who might be building them.

This may not have occurred to the White House and its genius negotiators, but the “military sites” Khamenei says are off-limits tend to surround “non-military” facilities crucial to Iran’s nuclear program. You can bet that if Obama is allowed to sign this foolish deal, Iran’s definition of what constitutes a protected “military site” will rapidly expand to include everything more radioactive than the X-ray wards of Tehran hospitals. Every fishy installation in Iran is about one truck-mounted missile launcher and two flags away from becoming an “elite Republican Guard military site.”

Incidentally, why is Iran so concerned with military sites when its nuclear program is supposed to be 100 percent “peaceful?” The answer is apparently obvious to everyone who doesn’t work for the State Department.
