Jeb Bush PAC Hires Boehner Aide Michael Steel

Right to Rise Policy Solutions, a nonprofit group run by allies of Jeb Bush, has hired Speaker John Boehner’s press secretary, Michael Steele.

According to a Tampa Bay Times report, “The group shares the same name as Bush’s Right to Rise PAC and Super PAC but is different in that it could accept unlimited donations and not reveal those sources of money. (The Washington Post looks at the uncharted territory here).”

Steel will be based out of Miami and serve as a senior advisor in his new role. He served as press secretary to Paul Ryan in 2012, when Ryan ran as Mitt Romney’s VP.
