Presidential aspirant Dr. Ben Carson said at Saturday’s Freedom Summit in Greenville, South Carolina that “if America doesn’t face up to reality, we will be victims.”
In his exclusive interview with Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, Carson asserted, “the big picture right now is our military is deteriorating. Our Navy is at its smallest size since 1917. We are in danger of becoming a regional navy when we have global interests.”
Carson contends that American military equipment is degrading and that we no longer do the kind of research that produced innovations like the stealth bomber. “We’re gutting our personnel, sending letters to our majors, our captains, and our lieutenant colonels saying that we don’t need you anymore,” the former chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital lamented.
Not only is this destructive to our country, the doctor pointed out, but it comes at the same time that “Radical Islamic terrorists are growing by leaps and bounds.”
In the interview conducted on Saturday in Greenville and broadcast on Breitbart News Sunday, Sirius XM Patriot radio, channel 125, Carson explained that radical Islamic growth outside of the country, while at the same time “infiltrating” America from within, is a “perfect storm.” He insists, “We have got to wake up before it’s too late.”
Bannon asked Dr. Carson, who announced his candidacy for president last week in Detroit, “Would President Carson prosecute the war against radical Islam differently than President Obama?”
Carson answered, “Yes sir. I would use every resource available to us, not to contain them, but to eradicate them. Because they want to eradicate us. We have two choices we let them get us, or we eradicate them first.”
Bannon followed up asking Carson, “Now that we have lost 10,000 young men and women, killed in action in these two wars—Afghanistan and Iraq—we’ve had 40-50 thousand casualties, we spent close to two trillion dollars, the Taliban is on the rise in Afghanistan, do you believe that this is a global war on terror or do you think that we are fighting radical Islam?”
Carson said, “I think we are fighting radical Islam. There is no question about it. They have the same goal as they did when Mohammed was around. They want to dominate. And they want everyone else to submit to them.”
Carson asserts that the radical Islamists “don’t believe in live and let live like we do.” It’s time to face reality he implored.
