Hillary Raises $3M in One-Day Swing Through Hollywood

Hillary Clinton raised $3 million for her campaign in a one-day, three-event swing Thursday through the heart of Hollywood.

Clinton began the day in Westwood at the home of Women’s Political Committee member Catherine Unger, where a $2,700 per plate women’s breakfast netted the candidate $270,000, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

For lunch, Clinton headed to the tony Riviera section of Pacific Palisades, where she attended a $2,700 per plate event at the home of legendary television producer Steven Bochco and his wife Dayna. The luncheon brought in just over $800,000, according to THR. Guests at the Bochco home reportedly included Norman Lear, Two and a Half Men showrunner Chuck Lorre, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Beverly Hills), and special guest Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA).

Clinton reportedly took questions for about 15 minutes, at one point joking that “if I get to be president, I can tell you without fear of contradiction that if elected, you will never see my hair turn white in the White House. I’ve dyed it my whole life.”

The candidate also reportedly discussed the threat of the Islamic State, education, and issues of mass incarceration in her short remarks.

Finally, Clinton headed to the heart of Beverly Hills, to the home of billionaires Haim and Cheryl Saban for another $2,700 per plate fundraiser. According to THR, Clinton raked in $1.9 million at the event, which was attended by over 700 people. Notable guests included former Gov. Gray Davis, former L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Larry King, Stevie Wonder, and actor Bradley Whitford.

“She was amazing,” CAA agent Darnell Strom, who attended the Saban fundraiser, told THR. “(She was) comfortable in a way I haven’t seen before.”

On Friday, Clinton is scheduled to head to the Bay Area for a fundraiser at the home of eBay CEO John Donahoe. Clinton was previously in the Bay Area on Monday, where attended an event at the home of billionaire investor and global warming activist Tom Steyer.

Clinton’s fundraising practices have been recently called into question by Breitbart Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer’s bombshell new book Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich, which sent her campaign scrambling.
