The Hill Associate Editor A.B. Stoddard stated that President Obama “has an implicit deal with the Clintons” and “they’re not going to rat her out” on Wednesday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel.
Stoddard said, “Well, the administration has worked very hard to protect Secretary Clinton, they knew — a circle of people knew from day one in 2009 she was using her own email and not the State — the .gov email address you’re supposed to use when you’re doing official business as Secretary of State with many other people in the building. And they allowed this to happen, and they have said that nothing — there was never anything untoward about any connections between her foundation and her tenure at State and her business there. They’ve defended the email practice and said we were just told what we were told and it all seemed above board. So, they’re not going to have a good time doing it, but they’re going to continue to do it. Obama has an implicit deal with the Clintons, and he’s obviously endorsed her for president without coming out and saying so, but Joe Biden has not received his endorsement, and he’s hoping he’ll — she’ll come around with him on the trade promotion vote. But they’re pretty much just hoping this goes away and they’re not going to rat her out, no matter what. They don’t have the server and they’re really holding up her end of the story from now until Election Day.”
