Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh argued “you’d have to say here that the New York Times has joined the vast, right-wing conspiracy against the Clintons” on Thursday.
After reading from and summarizing a New York Times article about the Clintons’ involvement in Russian state-owned energy agency Rosatom’s takeover of Uranium One, in particular a line in the Times‘ story that “some of the connections” in the article “were unearthed” by “Clinton Cash” author Peter Schweizer, Rush remarked “so, the Times is confirming what Schweizer reports in this book and saying ‘we found even more.’ So, you’d have to say here that the New York Times has joined the vast, right-wing conspiracy against the Clintons if they’re sidling deals up here with Schweizer. I’m being facetious, of course.”
Rush added, “here’s the bottom line. Money was given to Bill and Hillary Clinton, passing through the Clinton Foundation, that enabled Russia to pursue their goal of controlling the uranium market in the world. Putin, again, just to remind you, has publicly stated that he wants to control that market. If he could, he’d corner it. Mrs. Clinton has enabled it, all for the opportunity to be personally, financially enriched.”
