On April 19, a Huntsville, Alabama, man with a restraining order against him allegedly broke into the home in which his wife was staying and chased her into the garage where she allegedly shot him in the chest with a shotgun.
WHNT 19 reports the wife’s name is Lisa Skinner and the estranged husband is Bradley Skinner.
They indicate that Bradley had “a pistol and large knife in his possession” when he allegedly “broke the glass out of a back door of the home to get inside [the house].”
The home belongs to Lisa’s mom who fled next door to call 911, while Lisa grabbed a shotgun and began moving toward the garage. Bradley allegedly chased her into the garage where she shot him in the chest.
The shot rang out just as police pulled up. Not knowing who was the aggressor, they ordered the woman to drop the shotgun. When she turned toward police—shotgun still in hand—an officer shot and wounded her, but the injuries were not life-threatening.
On the other hand, Bradley is listed in critical condition and his injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
