CNBC’s Caruso-Cabrera: Hillary Will ‘Have a Tough Time’

CNBC’s Chief International Correspondent Michelle Caruso-Cabrera stated Hillary Clinton is “going to have a tough time this time around” on Friday’s “Real Time” on HBO.

“She’s [Hillary’s] going to have a tough time this time around. With the email situation, yes, for sure — and when you say dynasty, I think people will look at her as if shes — some people will look at her as if she’s riding her husband’s coattails” she said.

Host Bill Maher responded, “she should. You’d be crazy not to vote for a third Clinton term. You know, he — Bill Clinton gave everything Republicans always promised to people. He ended welfare as we know it, he left us with a surplus, there was the biggest economic expansion –” to which Caruso-Cabrera said “she’s being pushed more to the left than her husband ever would have been.”

Center for American Progress President Neera Tanden declared, “I think it’s odd to say a woman who’s been Secretary of State, was Senator of New York, First Lady, is riding her husband’s coattails alone. I think a little ridiculous honestly, — she’d be one of the most experienced presidents in our history.”

Maher then stated, “you’re saying ‘they’re dynasties, and we shouldn’t have dynasties.’ I’m saying, ‘let’s look at it a little more closely and judge it by the results of what those dynasties wrought before.'”
