Bloomberg Politics Managing Editor John Heilemann argued Hillary Clinton would be “as much of a hypocrite about it as Barack Obama” if she sticks to her position on campaign finance on Tuesday’s “With All Due Respect.”
“The only one [position] that’s specific is the one about money in politics, where she’s actually making a rather dramatic claim, especially from someone who I assume is going to have hundreds of millions of dollars of super PAC money spent on her behalf…if she wants to adopt this posture, she’ll be as much of a hypocrite about it as Barack Obama was. Which is ‘oh my God, we want campaign finance reform, I really want it, I really want it. But I’m still happy to spend…as much money as anybody.'”
