Marco Rubio Tells Donors: I’m Running For President

Sen. Marco Rubio notified some of his closest donors this morning that he is running for president.

Rubio revealed his decision in a conference call to supporters, according to the Associated Press. Rubio points out that the presidential race would be a choice between the past and the future.

Rubio will personally announce his intentions at the Freedom Tower in Miami tonight at 6:00 p.m. EST.

On Sunday, Rubio joined about 250 people for dinner at a friend’s home, Breitbart News reports. He also hosted a breakfast for some of his key donors before this morning’s conference call, The Washington Post reports.
