O’Malley: ‘People Want New Leaders’

Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley said that “people want new leaders” in an interview broadcast on Friday’s “Kelly File” on the Fox News Channel.

“History’s full of examples where the inevitable frontrunner’s inevitable right up until they’re no longer inevitable. And what I’ve heard all around the country is that people want new leaders. They want to hear the voices” O’Malley stated.

Another potential challenger, former Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) said, “I think in terms of the country writ large, and not simply Iowa, people are looking for leadership that they can trust. They’re looking for leaders who will say what they really believe, and be consistent about it, and rather than massaging issues to try to get, you know, one political safety zone or another, will really take the risks of leadership, and put them out there, and we’ve done that my entire political career.”

When asked if he believed Hillary Clinton had done the same, he responded, “you’ll have to ask her.”
