A high school teacher at Foster High School, located near Houston in Richmond, Texas has been criticized for passing out pamphlets to students that shamed Islam as an “ideology of war” and called Muhammad a “false Prophet.”
The pamphlet allegedly described the agenda behind Islam extremists including information on beheadings and what do if ever attacked or captured by radical Islamic followers, KHOU 11 News reported.
A school district spokesman said the episode “disappointed” officials, and the teacher will be punished.
“Ensuring our students have access to factual information, given in the proper context, is a priority in our District,” said the statement from the Lamar Independent School District issued to KHOU. “Arbitrary curriculum decisions, which are clearly outside of the guidelines, won’t be tolerated.”
