President Obama may soon remove Cuba from the terrorism watch list.
“He’s got a meeting with Castro – with the Latin American countries at the end of the week – he’ll probably meet with Castro. I think soon after that you’ll see more overtures to Cuba,” predicted KT McFarland, Fox News’ National Security Analyst.
Cuba is one of four countries, along with Iran, Sudan and Syria, currently on the terror watch list.
CNN reported Tuesday that the State Department will issue its recommendation to remove Cuba to Secretary of State John Kerry who will then pass the recommendation on to the president.
If Obama accepts the recommendation, Congress has 45 days to decide whether or not to override the decision.
