President Obama appeared on NPR’s Morning Edition with host Steve Inskeep and took a jab at potential GOP presidential candidate Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s statements on the Iran deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Obama called Walker’s position on Iran a “foolish approach” and stated that Walker should “bone up on foreign policy.”

Republican Gov. Scott Walker previously said that if elected president, he would rescind any nuclear agreement Obama makes with Iran.

“I will pull back on that on Jan. 20, 2017,” Walker said in a previous interview, “because the last thing — not just for the region but for this world — we need is a nuclear-armed Iran.”

“It would be a foolish approach to take,” said Obama in his NPR interview, “and perhaps Mr. Walker — after he’s taken some time to bone up on foreign policy — will feel the same way.”

Obama used his NPR interview to address Walker’s criticism:

I am confident that any president who gets elected will be knowledgeable enough about foreign policy and knowledgeable enough about the traditions and precedents of presidential power that they won’t start calling [into] question the capacity of the executive branch of the United States to enter into agreements with other countries. If that starts being questioned, that’s going to be a problem for our friends and that’s going to embolden our enemies.
