Regarding her 50 year quest to to be president, Hillary Clinton is entering a legitimate danger zone on a number of fronts. One of the reasons Democrats have stood by her throughout this email scandal has been her poll numbers against all potential GOP challengers. Democrats had convinced themselves that voters wouldn’t care about the scandal, or at least that was the public spin.

Two new polls in key swing states show Hillary in a legitimate freefall. Jeb Bush now beats her in Florida by two points. She only leads Marco Rubio by one. Last month, in the same poll, she led both by TEN points. In Pennsylvania, Republican Senator Rand Paul beats Hillary 45% – 44%.
In both states her favorability ratings has dipped below 50%. She still leads the pack by 5 points in Ohio.
For weeks after the email controversy broke, Martin O’Malley, a potential Clinton challenger for the Democrat nomination, was mum on the email scandal.

O’Malley assumed a very aggressive stance Tuesday saying if Clinton has nothing to hide she should come forward and talk openly about it. This is just two days after O’Malley said of Bush and Clinton, “The presidency of the United States is not some crown to be passed between two families.”
Other than her wrongdoing and the fact that (unlike Whitewater, cattle futures and adultery) using a secret server and deleting emails while under a Congressional request is an easy scandal for the public understand, there is also the matter of Trey Gowdy.
As Chairman of the House Select Committee investigating the Benghazi cover-up (the same committee that found Hillary’s secret email account the media missed), Gowdy is unlike anything the Clintons have faced before. He has thus far brilliantly avoided all the usual “overreach” traps the Clintons and their media allies set for Republicans.
Using a quiet strategy that doesn’t allow the media to turn the story into a Trey Gowdy Story, the former prosecutor has been able to make public the damaging facts about Hillary’s secretive and potentially criminal behavior without any blowback. The same media that has openly savored the idea of Republican overreach since the scandal broke has thus been unable to latch onto anything to rescue Clinton from her corrupt behavior.
Unlike the media, Gowdy is determined to uncover the truth about Hillary’s secret emails and Obama’s Benghazi cover-up. And for the first time, the media, the Clintons and Obama appear to have met their match.
