WASHINGTON (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is adding another senior staffer with national experience as his political operation grows ahead of a likely 2016 presidential run.
The Republican governor’s political action committee has tapped Matt Hall to serve as director of operations. Hall held a similar position for 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Hall’s political firm, Harbinger Outreach, confirmed the new hire late Tuesday.
Members of Romney’s team are in high demand as the crowded field of Republican White House prospects moves deeper into the primary season. Most of those in Romney’s inner circle have yet to settle on a candidate.
In addition to working for Romney, Hall has managed operations and logistics at the White House and for two other presidential campaigns.
