Monday in Washington D.C. at the Center for American Progress’ forum on “Urban Development, Economy, and Jobs,” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seemed confident she would be calling up America’s mayors to work on urban issues as the president of the United States in that “beautiful domed building.”
Clinton said, “Mayor, I think what you did with gangs and gang members is exactly what needs to be done in so many places in our countries. So do not be surprised if you get a call to come, and maybe we will start not too far from here in a beautiful domed building — [laughter] where we get everybody in the same room and start that conversation. It could lead to collaboration and a better result for our cities and our country. Thank you all very much.”
