Lawsuits against Nancy Lanza’s homeowners insurance have been filed by nine parents of Sandy Hook victims.

The new suits were reported on March 13, roughly three months after various Sandy Hook families filed suit against Bushmaster Firearms—maker of the firearm Adam Lanza stole and used in his heinous attack on Sandy Hook.

According to the Connecticut Post, the new suits were filed “to collect on Nancy Lanza’s home owner insurance policy,” which is thought to have been a $1 million policy. “Eight of the suits were filed in Superior Court in Bridgeport,” and the ninth was filed in Danbury.

Each lawsuit alleges Nancy Lanza did not properly secure her firearms, thereby “allowing her son… to gain access to the [AR-15] and kill the victims.”

A “status conference” on the eight Bridgeport suits will be held on April 9.
