State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki said that the State Department e-mail archiving process that Hillary Clinton said saved many of her e-mails “isn’t perfect” on Friday’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on MSNBC.
Psaki was asked whether a State Department IG report about problems in the State Department’s recordkeeping undermined Hillary Clinton’s rationale that any email she sent to a State Department employee would be archived, she responded “there are many ways of keeping emails and having access to emails. So, I think this report was referring to one specific program that is a tool that some State Department employees use, but many employees use different means of keeping track of and archiving their records. And this is something isn’t perfect, there are obviously continued steps that we need to take, and we are taking, and we have taken over the past months and years to upgrade our capabilities here.”
