Billionaire Warren Buffett believes Hillary Clinton will “very likely” be the next president and slammed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for being “angry” and “divisive.”
In a Monday CNBC interview, Buffett, after saying that Clinton is likely to win the White House barring “illnesses or something of the sort,” ripped Warren, who is beloved by the Occupy Wall Street crowd and left-wing progressives for railing against the financial elite and “income inequality.”
“I think that she would do better if she was less angry and demonizing. I believe in ‘hate the sin but love the sinner,'” Buffett said of Warren, according to Business Insider. “And I’m not sure that I’ve fully convinced Elizabeth Warren that that’s the way to go.”
Buffett added that “it does not help when you demonize… the people you’re talking to.”
At the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), former Hewlett Packard CEO and likely GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina criticized Warren as well, saying that though “Elizabeth Warren is right” that “crony capitalism is alive and well,” she is “dead wrong about how to end crony capitalism.”
“Whether it is Dodd-Frank, ObamaCare or net-neutrality, all this government complexity means the big get bigger, the small disappear, and the powerless are trapped,” Fiorina said.
Though Warren has indicated on numerous occasions that she will not be a 2016 candidate, left-wing progressives, including MoveOn, have been organizing efforts to draft her to challenge Clinton, who will reportedly formally enter the 2016 race next month.
