Conservatives at CPAC 2015 cheered and gave a standing ovation to Carly Fiorina as she aggressively called out presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for using Twitter as a means to campaign while hiding from challenges to her dismal record as a former Secretary of State.
The former CEO of Hewlett-Packard confronted Clinton squarely: “Mrs. Clinton, name an accomplishment.”
“And in the meantime, please explain why we should accept that the millions and millions of dollars that have flowed into the Clinton Global Initiative from foreign governments do not represent a conflict of interest,” she said.
“She tweets about women’s rights in this country and takes money from governments that deny women the most basic human rights,” Fiorina continued. “She tweets about equal pay for women but won’t answer basic questions about her own office’s pay standards – and neither will our president.”
“Hillary may like hashtags,” Fiorina asserted. “But she doesn’t know what leadership means.”
Fiorina took aim at Hillary Clinton once more while answering a question about whether it is important to have women candidates in the presidential primaries.
“I think our Party needs to be as diverse as the nation we hope to represent,” Fiorina said, adding that women “are not a special interest group, we are the majority of the nation.”
“And I will say this, if Hillary Clinton had to face me on a debate stage, at the very least she would have a hitch in her swing,” she said.
