A new Quinnipiac poll shows that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is surging in Iowa, leading the state with 25 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers.
Walker is currently under fire from media elites after signaling his reluctance to weigh in on his personal belief in evolution or whether he believes President Obama is a Christian or loves America.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) came in at second place with 13 percent, followed by Ben Carson and former Governor Mike Huckabee tied at 11 percent. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, considered the front runner by many in the media, is currently polling at only 10 percent.
Walker is receiving rave reviews among Republicans in Iowa, with a favorability rating of 57 percent. Only 7 percent of those polled cited Walker’s as unfavorable.
Establishment-favored candidates like Jeb Bush only have a 41 percent favorability rating with unfavorables at 40 percent. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has only a 30 percent favorability rating with an negative rating of 54 percent.
