Former Obama Senior Advisor David Axelrod expressed pride that the Obama administration had not had “a major scandal” at a discussion at the University of Chicago on Monday.
“The rule has basically been that there’s been a ban on the revolving door” he stated, adding that while the White House had not been “pristine,” it was “light-years different than it was before.”
Axelrod concluded, “I’m proud of the fact that, basically, you’ve had an administration that’s been in place for six years, in which there hasn’t been a major scandal. And I think that says a lot about the ethical strictures of this administration.”
