On January 27, two alleged home invaders forced their way into a Village of Alafaya Club apartment by the University of Central Florida and were holding the boyfriend on the floor at gunpoint when the girlfriend emerged from a back room with a gun and sent the suspects fleeing.

The incident took place around 6 pm.

According to WESH Orlando, 22-year-old Nour Skargee answered a knock at the door only to have two suspects rush him and force him to the floor. Skargee said one of the suspects grabbed him “by the throat,” took him “a little further into the living room,” then pushed him down and told him not to move. One of the two suspects then put a gun to Skargee’s head.

While this was happening, Sable Nahme was in the bedroom retrieving a gun. When one of suspects realized Nahme was in the bedroom he kicked down her door and charged her, only to stop in his tracks when she raised and pointed the gun at him.

Both suspects then fled and Skargee took the gun and gave chase, but never caught them. He did, however, find the gun they had placed against his head and it turned out to be a pellet gun.

Commenting afterward Skargee said: “If we didn’t have a gun, it would have been game over. They were bigger than me, bigger than both of us. We had no way of stopping them. The only thing that made them stop was the gun.”

Police are still searching for the two suspects.
