A former employee of a Fox News affiliate in Texas has committed suicide at the company’s headquarters in New York.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the man’s name was Phillip Perea, a former employee of a Fox News affiliate in Austin.

Perea had a long-standing grudge against Fox News. He’d accused the network of destroying his career. Prior to his suicide, Perea sent this photo from his Twitter account.

Perea also posted a link to his YouTube page, featuring 35 YouTube videos about his firing.

The videos feature audio recordings of his meetings with station personnel, as part of his protest of his firing.

In one meeting a manager explains that Perea is making his fellow employees “uneasy” and ask him to leave the building.

After the incident, Fox Television Stations CEO Jack Abernethy emailed all employees informing them of the situation. A copy of the email was provided to Breitbart News.

“This morning, a former employee at FOX 7-KTBC (Austin) committed suicide outside FOX Television Stations’ (FTS) headquarters in New York City,” Abernethy said in the email. “He was employed at our Austin television station for ten months and has not been with the station or FTS since June 2014. We are deeply saddened by this tragedy.”
