Thursday at the University of Kansas, President Barack Obama accused Republicans of “pretending” major issues simply don’t exist.
Obama said, “What you can’t do is simply pretend that issues like child care or student debt aren’t out there. That they are not important. You can’t pretend that there is nothing we can do to help middle class families get ahead.”
“The answer can’t just be no to everything. I don’t mind hearing no to some things, but it can’t be no to everything. At some point, you gotta say yes to something. I want to get to yes,” he added.
