President Obama momentarily broke from his prepared State of the Union speech this evening reveling in the positive economic statistics that he proudly announced in the beginning of his speech.
After reminding Congress that health care inflation was at it’s lower rate in 50 years, Obama received a lengthy standing ovation from Democrats, including Vice President Joe Biden.
Obama grinned broadly and diverted from the prepared text of his speech:
“This is good news, people!” he said, winking as he continued.
