CNN Commentator and Democratic Strategist Paul Begala admitted that the Democratic Party had become an establishment party on Friday’s “Real Time” on HBO.
After joking “The Republicans have always been the hierarchical party, they always nominate the oldest white guy in line, especially if he just lost,” he was asked by fellow panelist Carly Fiorina whether he thought it was “interesting that the Democratic Party has become the party of the establishment, and everyone’s getting behind Hillary.”
He then responded “absolutely, it’s amazing, my party always wants the new, the different, right now everybody’s lining up for Hillary. Obviously, I’ll be for her, she’s an old pal, but that is right, my party’s culture has changed, but so has the Republicans’.”
