In the wake of the assassination of two police officers, NYPD “Commissioner Bill Bratton on Monday asked the NYPD’s unions to ‘stand down’ from rhetorical battling with the mayor,” and they agreed unequivocally. However, anti-police protesters and  the so called Justice League organizers behind them want nothing to do with any cooling off or show of respect as two good men, both minorities as a matter of fact, are buried.

Decency escapes the anti-police protesters. Not only has the Justice League NYC — a leading group behind the demonstrations — told Mayor de Blasio to stuff his call for a break pending funerals for the NYPD’s assassinated cops, its leaders spit on helping cops ID violent protesters.

Just as bad, if not more dangerous, they are refusing any cooperation in the identification of violent protesters. It seems the Justice league and anti-NYPD protesters have no intention of ending their war on cops and intent to continue as is right on through the policeman’s funerals and the Holidays. Apparently their version of justice has no respect for anyone, or anything.

But after de Blasio urged protesters to also observe a period of calm, the Justice League issued a statement that merely nodded to the execution of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu before “asking for empathy and understanding as we continue to grieve all the lives of our brothers and sisters lost at the hands of the New York Police Department. . . . There is an impeding urgency to address these matters. The time is now.”

Other leading protest groups, too, declared that they would not heed de Blasio’s call.
