During a speech in Washington, D.C. today, President Obama asserted that both he and the first lady believed in the power of nagging to build up children for success.
“Nagging works. It does. Michelle and I are big believers in nagging,” Obama said, while discussing the importance of parents staying involved in their children’s education.
Obama made his remarks during the College Opportunity Day of Action event held Thursday at the Ronald Reagan Building.
In the past, Michelle Obama has also spoke about the positive effects of nagging in a video encouraging moms to get their kids to sign up for Obamacare.
“We nag you because we love you,” she said in a video that was released in March. “Go to healthcare.gov and enroll today.”
