A new SurveyUSA poll shows House Minority Leader Mitch McConnell leading by only one point – two weeks before the midterm election.
McConnell earned 44 percent in the poll, leading his Democratic opponent Alison Grimes at 43 percent. The Libertarian candidate, David Patterson, received 5 percent support and 8 percent of voters were undecided.
The poll surveyed 655 likely voters and has margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points. It was conducted for the Herald-Leader and WKYT-TV in Lexington and The Courier-Journal and WHAS-TV in Louisville.
