Fleming: 'Transparent' That Wheels Are Moving On Executive Amnesty

Voters need to be aware that the wheels are already moving on the Obama administration’s expected executive amnesty, Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) reacted Monday to the recent draft solicitation for millions of new immigrant ID cards.

“I think it’s very transparent that [President Obama] intends to make good on his word and that is to break the law and the Constitution and unilaterally create a form of amnesty immediately after the election. He knows it is very toxic to do it prior to the election,” Fleming said in an interview with Breitbart News.

Sunday, Breitbart first reported that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has already issued a draft solicitation for bids from contractors that would be able to provide the materials necessary for millions of Permanent Residency Cards (PRC), and Employment Authorization Documentation (EAD) “to support possible future immigration reform initiative requirements.”

According to Fleming, Obama will move forward with his executive actions as soon as he can and the USCIS solicitation shows those early preparations.

“I think this is his attempt to do everything absolutely possible to create permanent amnesty, one step at a time, beginning immediately after the election, without a single vote coming from Congress and so it’s obvious he’s gearing it up,” Fleming said speculating such action could happen as soon as November 5, the day after the midterm elections.

He stressed that voters this election cycle need to keep in mind that it is going to happen.

“Americans who are turning out to vote, say in the election of Louisiana U.S. Senate and others, need to understand this is waiting in the wings,” Fleming said. “This is what’s planned, while the president is trying to hide this in a shell game temporarily, the more voters know about this up front about what is about to happen, the better able I think they are to make the proper choice.”

Fleming used Sen. Mary Landrieu’s (D-LA) reelection effort, painting herself as anti-amnesty, as an example for why voters need to know what is coming, as likely exhibited by the USCIS solicitation for millions of new immigrant IDs.

“We know that her party and that man she votes for for Senate leader, Harry Reid, is all for amnesty and the president that she supports is all for amnesty so that’s why it’s important for us to get the word out that this government is already making huge preparations for an enormous granting of temporarily legal status, which at 10 years for a green card is not so temporary,” Fleming said.

The Louisiana lawmaker added that, given what he expects to be the step by step strategy to have millions of illegal immigrants eventually become voters, the actions will have implications well beyond the midterm elections.

“This is the way the left does it, they ratchet it one step at a time. ‘Let’s give people a ten year status that they can remain in this country, even though they are here illegally and after a few years, we’ll come along get the right mix in government, and then we’ll make these people permanent residents, if not citizens,’ he said, arguing that it will continue the drive to achieve a one-party government.
