Ron Klain, the new “Ebola Czar,” is not a czar, according to the Obama officials, who clarified his role in the administration after announcing his appointment.

Earnest said that Klain’s official title was “Ebola Response Coordinator” who will spend “100% of his time” to coordinate the “whole of government” response to Ebola and report to Obama administration officials Susan Rice and Lisa Monaco.

Earnest dismissed reports of Republicans who criticized Obama’s appointment as a partisan.

When asked further about the “czar” title, Earnest explained that it didn’t matter to the White House,
