Democrats are yanking vital campaign advertising dollars from vulnerable Democratic candidates and shifting them to other races with better odds. 

The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that the Democratic Party has cut back $2.8 million in campaign spending in northern Virginia and shaved $1.4 million in spending in Denver, Colorado:

Democrats cut $2.8 million in spending in northern Virginia, where JohnFoust faces state Del. Barbara Comstock in a seat that Republican FrankWolf has held for 34 years. The party also scaled back its spending inthe Denver suburbs by $1.4 million despite its high expectations thatformer state House speaker Andrew Romanoff could upend three-termRepublican Rep. Mike Coffman in a district with a growing Hispanicpopulation.

Voters head to the polls in 21 days.
