A new Gallup poll finds that Latino approval of President Barack Obama has nosedived 23 points since December 2012.
After the 2012 election, 75% of Latinos supported Obama. Today, according to Gallup, just 52% approve of Obama.
Latino support for Obama remains 10 points higher than the president’s national 42% approval rating. As Gallup explains, “Hispanics’ generally higher approval of Obama reflects their overall Democratic orientation.”
Gallup concludes, “President Obama has lost significantly more support among Hispanics than among the national population since the months following his reelection in November 2012.”
