Obama Praises Results Of Scottish Referendum

President Obama issued a statement Friday morning after Scottish voters rejected a referendum to declare independence for the United Kingdom.

On the day before the vote, Obama tweeted support for the United Kingdom, calling it “a force for good in an unstable world” adding that “I hope it remains strong, robust and united.”
