Vice President Joe Biden delivered a passionate speech at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in New Hampshire, vowing to bring Islamic State terrorists to justice.
Mentioning the deaths of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, Biden referred to the Islamic State terrorists as “barbarians” for beheading them on camera.
“If they think the American people will be intimidated, they don’t know us very well,” Biden said, reminding the crowd that the United States came back after 9/11 and defeated Osama bin Laden.
“When people harm Americans we don’t retreat, and we don’t forget,” he said. “They should know, we will follow them to the gates of hell until they are brought to justice, because hell is where they will reside! Hell is where they will reside!”
