DHS 'Unaware of Any Specific, Credible Threat' to United States

The Department of Homeland Security reacted to the news that the United Kingdom had raised their terrorism threat level and downplayed any additional threat to the United States.

Earlier on Friday, Prime Minister David Cameron gave a speech denouncing the Islamic State.

Johnson admitted that ISIL continued to be a threat to Americans within the Middle East, demonstrating “intent and capability to target American citizens overseas.”

He also warned Americans about the continued threat of “homegrown violent extremism inspired by radical ideology overseas” and said that law enforcement officials continued to work to counter that threat.
