Although the left is taking potshots at the 2nd Amendment children’s book My Parents Open Carry, it is, at the time of publication, ranked over three times higher on Amazon’s Best Sellers list than Senator Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) A Fighting Chance.
My Parents Open Carry is currently #428 while Warren’s book is #1,504.
On August 4 Breitbart News reported that My Parents Open Carry was released to teach 2nd Amendment fundamentals and the reasons behind carrying a gun for self-defense.
Authors Brian G. Jeffs and Nathan R. Nephew wanted the book to “[provide] a basic overview of the right to keep and bear arms as well as the growing practice of the open carry of a handgun.” It is meant to be “a wholesome family book that reflects the views of the majority of the American people, i.e., that self defense is a basic natural right and that firearms provide the most efficient means for that defense.”
Warren’s book examines why she chose “to fight tooth and nail for the middle class.”
My Parents Open Carry was released February 18; A Fighting Chance was released April 22.
