President Obama visited New York City for two campaign events on Thursday evening, but one of them was not an official fundraiser.
The event was hosted by the Democratic House Majority PAC, but the group notified the White House Press pool it was not an official fundraiser.
The event was held at an apartment building at Fifth Avenue and E 65th St in New York City, where the pool was asked to hold in the basement.
Both events were closed to the press, which is unusual as a member of the press pool is often allowed in the room for the president’s brief opening remarks.
Obama arrived in New York after an event in Delaware where he briefly addressed the plane crash tragedy in Ukraine.
