Nineteen-year-old Kendall Jones is drawing the ire of anti-hunters everywhere, including “death threats” over her Facebook posts chronicling African hunts in which she shot big cats, an elephant, and other big game.

Jones is a sophomore and a cheerleader at Texas Tech University.

According to the Cleburne Times-Review, Jones was neither surprised that some people would disagree with her hunts nor opposed to people’s expressions of divergent opinions, but, she said, “I really am shocked at how rude many people are by name calling and swearing. I have actually had several death threats.”

Jones responded to the criticism by pointing out how hunters and conservation go hand-in-hand. And in a photo showing the elephant she shot, Jones posed with members of an African village who “will be fed with part of the animal.”

According to The Dallas Morning News, Jones “has signed a development deal for a series on the Sportsman Channel.”
